Ad Design Senior of the Year to attend Cal-U
Congratulations to North Allegheny School District’s Seth Ryder who was named the Senior of the Year in A.W. Beattie's Advertising Design program!
Seth will attend California University of Pennsylvania in the fall to study Graphic Design, and his dream is to be an art director.
Some of Seth's favorite memories include learning how to design logos, banners and other digital media in a professional setting and the experiences he had competing alongside friends in SkillsUSA.
"Mr. Dumbeck and Mrs. Brown, alike, are two very professional and very well-trained teachers," Seth said. "They do not fall short in any category of teaching within the design field. Everything that I've learned about design and other critical focuses relating to the design world is credited to them."
He knew he wanted to attend the career center for his elective classes after taking a tour in his freshman year.
"After completing my first year at Beattie, I knew I was going to stay there for the next 2 years," Seth said. "It was something I enjoyed so much, and it gave me something to look forward to each day."
Seth is a National Technical Honor Society member, a SkillsUSA conference officer and a player for the Arctic Foxes Hockey Association.
