5 students compete in FCCLA Nationals
Congratulations to our five FCCLA students who competed in July in Denver, CO at FCCLA Nationals!
They were:
- Elise Schaeffer, Ella Bieniek, and Alexis Svidron (All Deer Lakes) - Event Management - Silver Medal
- Tommy Helkowski (North Allegheny) - Food Innovation - Silver Medal
- Kara Elliott (Northgate) - Public Policy Advocate - Bronze Medal
Each of these students won state championships to qualify for nationals.
In FCCLA, students place dependent on where they rank against other competitors. Students medal based on their score within a competition. FCCLA is a nonprofit national career and technical student organization.
