Dr. Dave Farkas has been in education for 28 years. He has served as a teacher, principal, assistant superintendent, and superintendent. Dr. Farkas began his career in education as a teacher in Florida. In 2012, Dr. Farkas was selected as Hemet’s “Principal of the Year” while leading Cottonwood School to a National Blue Ribbon Award nomination, a California Distinguished School award, and Hemet Unified School Districts’ first and only API over 900. He then spent 6 years as principal of Hamilton High School and Fallbrook High School before moving to San Ysidro School District as assistant superintendent. Dr. Farkas earned his Doctorate degree in Curriculum & Instruction from Liberty University. He has served as a Riverside County Office of Education administrator coach and professor at the university of UMASS Global. He aspires to serve as Central Union High School District’s superintendent striving to reach goals based on all Central Union High School District’s students graduating prepared for college and careers.
