Biography, Maria Peinado
Mrs. Peinado was elected to the CUHSD Board in 2020. Mrs. Peinado is a long-time resident of El Centro and parent of a Southwest High School graduate. A graduate of Brawley Union High School and first-generation college graduate she is passionate about supporting public education and scholarship opportunities. Mrs. Peinado is an advocate for music and performing arts education and students with special needs. She earned a Bachelor's of Arts in Political Science from the University of California, San Diego and a Masters in Public Administration from San Diego State University. Mrs. Peinado is the Program Manager, Imperial Valley with Catalyst of San Diego & Imperial Counties. She serves as Vice-President of the El Centro Education Foundation and as Special Events Coordinator for MANA de Imperial Valley.
