Hello, I am Mark Crump, the Band Director and General Music Teacher at Kings Creek School.

I am proudly a graduate of South Caldwell High School. I attended Appalachian State University where I received a Bachelors in Music Education, a Masters in Music Education, and a Masters in Music Performance.  

I began my career full time in 1994 and have been with Caldwell County Schools since 1998.

I  am primarily a woodwind player and have performed with many a varied groups over the years. Big Band,Theater Pits, and even a German Oompah Band to name a few. Let me tell you that Oompah music can get pretty serious! I am currently playing with the Bruce Long Orchestra.

I believe Music is an essential part of the human experience. It improves the quality of our lives by giving people joy, value, and peace. I teach not only to educate my students musically but also to inspire them to reach higher.
