Hello, my name is Darla Koon. I teach 5th Grade Reading/Social Studies. I have my Bachelor of Science degree from Appalachian State University. I have been teaching at Lower Creek Elementary School since 2004. I taught 1st Grade for 6 years, 2nd Grade for 5 years, and this will be my fifth year in 5th Grade. This will be my 18th year at Lower Creek. I have 2 children. My daughter is 17 and is a Freshman in college and my son is 12 and will be in 7th Grade. I love my Lower Creek family and am very excited for year 18! Go Cougars!
