I was born and raised in Charlotte, NC and attended Appalachian State University.  I began teaching in 2008 (and came to CECHS in 2009). During my career I have instructed a variety of courses (Physical Science, Chemistry, Earth and Environmental Science, Biology, Pre-Engineering and Design, and Selected Topics). The time I get to spend with students is what I look forward to each day.  Being a part of their learning experience is incredibly rewarding.  I try to empower students to become problem solvers, this is a trait that I have found to be incredibly beneficial in my own life.

When I am not at school I enjoy spending time with my wife and our 2 daughters, working on our family farm, creating things with my hands, and serving my community.
