Welcome!

Hi! My name is Amy Johnston! I will be your child’s 2nd grade teacher for the 2022- 2023 school year! Below is a little about me and my background!

My husband Nathan and I love this community! We have three precious kiddos, Levi (almost 6), Lydia (3 years old), and Lucas (19 months old). We also have two furry children, Maggie (Lab Mix) and Phoebe (Great Dane). In my spare time I love to go back to my alma mater to watch the Mountaineers play football (Go APPS!)!  I also love to read, go on walks at the park, and spend time with my children.  I graduated from Appalachian State University with a Bachelors of Science in Elementary Education.  I joined the MPES family in 2013.  This will be my 11th year teaching and my 10th year at MPES!
