Welcome to Kindergarten!

Welcome to Mt. Pleasant Elementary School and to our classroom! I'm excited to get to know my new "friends" and see their smiling faces. Together we will have have fun learning together! Yes, having fun and learning can indeed go together! With your cooperation and support this will be one of the most memorable and fantastic years of your child's educational journey.

As a 29 year kindergarten teacher, I have shared many fun-filled learning years with "little people." They certainly keep me young at heart! I am a graduate of Mt. Pleasant High School and I received my Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education from The University of North Carolina at Charlotte.

As a mom of four boys Lawson (24 years old), Landon (21 years old), Layton (19 years old) and Layne (15 years old), I have spent many hours watching various sporting activities. I can't say that I am a knowledgable sports mom; however, I can say that I am a present sports mom. My hobbies include watching my boys participate in sports, walking "the hills" in Mt. Pleasant and rocking and reading on my porch. I look forward to connecting with my kindergarten "friends" and their families throughout this school year!
