Hello, my name is  Melissa Coley Swinson. This is my 25th year of teaching. My school career began at Mt. Pleasant Elementary School in kindergarten as a student. I graduated from Mt. Pleasant High School in 1994, GO TIGERS, and attended Pfeiffer University where I received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in  Elementary Education in 1998. My teaching career began at Winecoff Elementary in 3rd Grade, where I taught for 2 years. When I first returned to Mt. Pleasant Elementary, I taught 4th Grade and then moved back to 3rd. I love 3rd Grade and would not want to teach any other grade level. When I am not teaching, I love spending time with my wonderful husband, Aaron, and our two beautiful daughters, Elisabeth and Emma Grace. Elisabeth is a senior at North Carolina State University (Go Pack) and Emma Grace is in 10th Grade at Cabarrus Tech. Early College. I love my job and look forward to each year as the chance to make a difference in the lives of my students.
