Mrs. Annika Driessen
Hello parents and students! Welcome to my W.M. Irvin Elementary homepage. My name is Annika Driessen and I am the Media Specialist. I am so excited to be back at W.M. Irvin Elementary for the 2022-2023 school year. I began teaching in 2003. I taught for five years before becoming a stay-at-home mother for eleven years. My husband and I have been married for nineteen years and we have six children ranging in age from eight to sixteen. I returned to teaching in 2019. The Media Center is my favorite place to teach!
I believe that the Media Center is the HEART of the school. It is a place where anyone, and everyone, is welcome. The Media Center is a place to explore, to read, to learn, to imagine, to build, to create, to collaborate, to study, to celebrate, and to share.
Our Media Center has an impressive collection of books, digital resources, periodicals, and technology tools. I am working hard to continue to grow this collection to reflect all families who attend WMIES.
