This is my 25th year of teaching.  I have taught first, second, third grade and 3rd- 5th Title One Reading in California and North Carolina.   The last 7 years, I have been a lead teacher.  This year I will continue to be the lead teacher for K/1.   As a lead teacher, I support the teachers by modeling lessons, preparing materials, leading PLC's and working with small groups of students when my schedule allows.   I am also  in charge of our LLI program.   LLI is a program where children read books at their level every single day for 30 minutes in a small group.  The program includes phonics/word work, fluency, comprehension and writing.  I also help support our Bridges Math program.  Bridges is a program that provides students a chance to work on math right at their level using lots of manipulatives to help them understand concepts.  Our TA's and tutors teach these groups and I provide them with any support they need.   Away from school, I enjoy spending time with my family and dog.  I love to travel to the beach and mountains.  I am a huge football fan.  The Los Angeles Rams are my favorite team.  I also enjoy reading a good book, yoga, scrapbooking, sleeping in, going to church and going out to eat.
