Hello! I am Tahnia Sykes and I am thrilled to be teaching at Irvin this year. I am excited about getting to know the children and families here at Irvin! Children are amazing at this stage in life and I am honored to help them grow and learn. 

I graduated from North Carolina State University with a Bachelor's in English and a concentration in Language, Writing and Rhetoric. Reading and writing are my biggest passions. When I am not working, I am home with my four children, McKenzie and MiKaela(twins)(10), Thomas(6) and Lorri Ann(4). I enjoy taking the kids on outings and to my parents' house in Kinston, NC.
