    crook
    Principal: Andrew Crook
     
    Mr. Crook graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1993 with a B.A. in English.  In 1998, Mr. Crook graduated from Wake Forest University with a Masters of Arts in Education.  Mr. Crook entered the teaching profession as an English teacher in 1993.  He worked in South Carolina, Rowan-Salisbury Schools, and Wake County Public Schools before teaching in Cabarrus County.  From 2002-2007, Mr. Crook taught English at Central Cabarrus High School.  He taught English at Hickory Ridge High School from 2007-2010.  He earned his Administrative Licensure from Wingate University in 2009 and returned to Central Cabarrus High School in 2010 as the Assistant Principal of Instruction.  In 2014, he assumed the role of Principal at Central Cabarrus.  Mr. Crook and his wife Liliana have two dogs, Bella and Pacino.  Mr. Crook enjoys spending time with his family, reading, watching movies, traveling (especially to Peru, his wife’s home country), playing golf, and cheering on the UNC Tarheels.
     
     
    lowry
    Assistant Principal of Instruction: Mark Lowry
     
    Mr. Lowry graduated from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte in 2005 with a B.S. in Middle Grades Education and entered the teaching profession as a Mathematics teacher at J.M. Alexander Middle School, where he taught from 2006-2009. Mr. Lowry entered the Educational Leadership program at UNCC in 2009 and received his Masters in School Administration from The University of North Carolina at Charlotte in 2011. Mr. Lowry was a Principal Intern at Cox Mill High for the 2010-2011 School Year.  In 2011 Mr. Lowry became an Assistant Principal at Cox Mill High School. Mr. Lowry and his wife Cherie have two children, Charleston (Charlie) and Whitaker (Whit). Mr. Lowry enjoys spending his free time with his family, running, and cheering on the Carolina Panthers.

    ruble
    Assistant Principal: Laura Ruble
     
    Ms. Ruble graduated from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte in 2007 with a B.A. in Elementary Education with a minor in math. She taught 3rd and 4th grade for 5 years in Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools.  She became a Principal Fellow at UNC-Charlotte where she received her Master of School Administration and completed a full-time internship at Concord Middle School. Ms. Ruble was an Assistant Principal at C.C. Griffin Middle School for two years and at A.T. Allen Elementary School for four years.  Ms. Ruble coached basketball at the middle school level and enjoys playing basketball and volleyball. Ms. Ruble lives in Charlotte, NC and is eager to meet and support the teachers, students, and families at Cox Mill High School!

    Assistant Principal: Christine Nelson
     
    Ms. Nelson graduated from the University of Michigan-Dearborn in 1999 with a Bachelor’s in Elementary Education with additional certification in Middle Grades Language Arts and Mathematics. From 2012-2019, Ms. Nelson taught at Carl A. Furr Elementary School in Cabarrus County.  Ms. Nelson was a North Carolina Principal Fellow at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, graduating in May 2021 with a  Master’s degree in School Administration. During the 2020-2021 school year, Ms. Nelson served Cox Mill High School as an Administrative Intern at Cox Mill High School, transitioning to Assistant Principal for the 2021-2022 school year.  Ms. Nelson and her husband, Brian, have four children; Paige, Luke, Jack and Emma. Ms. Nelson enjoys spending her free time with her family, cooking, watching baseball, and being outdoors.

    Assistant Principal: Christopher Campbell
     
     Mr. Campbell received his Bachelor’s degree in Middle Grades Education from Western Carolina University as a part of the NC Teaching Fellows Program. Following his undergraduate degree, he received a Master’s in Higher Education from Appalachian State University and a School Administration add-on license from Gardner-Webb University. Mr. Campbell began his teaching career in his hometown of Lenoir, NC teaching 7th and 8th-grade language arts and social studies for the Caldwell County School district. Prior to becoming an assistant principal, he taught 8thgrade language arts and social studies, served as a Principal Intern, and was the Dean of Students at J.N. Fries Magnet Middle School. When he is not in school, Mr. Campbell and his wife enjoy cooking, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.
