Mrs. Kathryn Houde

My name is Kathryn (Katie) Houde and this is my eleventh year teaching and my second year at W.R. Odell.  I began my career as a Math/Science teacher in Northern Virginia, and have spent the seven years in Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools.  I came to Cabarrus County Schools for the 2021-2022 school year.

 

I am originally from Virginia where I earned my Bachelors in Education and my Masters Degree in Elementary Education.  In my role here at W.R. Odell I will serve as the Lead Interventionist and will provide interventions designed to specifically address those need areas.  

 

I am excited and thankful to be here!  My previous experiences as a a fourth grade team lead as well as a math/science lead teacher have provided me with opportunities to improve and refine my teaching through the incorporation of technology and problem based learning.  I'm looking forward to sharing my knowledge with my new colleagues and the students.
