National Technical Honor Society

    The National Technical Honor Society is an educational non-profit that exists to honor, recognize, and empower students and teachers in Career & Technical Education. As the honor society for Career & Technical Education, NTHS serves over 100,000 active members annually in both secondary and postsecondary chapters across the country.

    Since its founding in 1984, nearly 1 million students have become NTHS alumni. NTHS honors the achievements of top CTE students, provides close to $300,000 in scholarships annually, and strives to help connect education and industry to build a highly skilled workforce.

     

    Membership Benefits

    • Members will receive a membership kit that includes an NTHS certificate, a lapel pin, a tassel, a decal, and a diploma seal.
    • As a member, you can request letters of recommendation from the NTHS national office, which will be sent to your chosen recipient.

    Membership Qualifications:

    • Junior or Senior status

    • Minimum 3 Career & Technical Education credits with at least one credit being a 2nd level

    • Minimum 3.0 overall GPA unweighted

    • Minimum 3.0 CTE GPA unweighted

    • No Out of School Suspensions during high school career

    • No more than 3 separate In-school Suspensions during your high school career

     

    Additional Membership Requirements:

    • Three (3) completed teacher recommendations – at least one must be a CTE teacher

      • List your three teachers on your application.  NTHS advisors will take care of the rest.

    • Student written statement of school/community service projects

    • If the application is accepted, a one-time membership fee is due prior to the induction ceremony.  You must pay the application fee on K12paymentcenter.com.
