Synopsis
In North Carolina, 50.8% of students live at or below the poverty line - $23,000 a year for a family of 4. In 1981, about 11% of teachers were employed by a second job. That number has now risen to about one in five. So what do we do? "Poverty Line" follows a group of Administration, Academics, Athletes and Artists trying to navigate high school, as students and faculty alike struggle in their everyday lives with poverty. An original piece devised and written by the students of Central Cabarrus High School.
