Hello, Rocket Family! I am so excited about starting my 22nd year of teaching in Cabarrus County schools.

I am originally from Tennessee where I attended the University of Tennessee. There I received my bachelor's and master's degrees. A few years ago, I decided to go back to school to pursue my Masters of Library and Information Sciences. This spring will graduate with that degree! 

I spent the first thirteen years teaching primary grades before making the leap to middle school. I taught 6th grade ELA and social studies for four years at JN Fries STEM Middle School. For the past 4 years, I was the Innovation Enrichment Teacher where I integrated STEM and literacy to engage student learners. 

I love spending time with my husband and bonus son. We love watching all sports and binging a great new show. I enjoy reading, cooking, and playing word games on my phone!
