Mrs. Allison Ferrer

Hello! This is my 2nd year as the Media Coordinator/School Librarian at Carl. A. Furr Elementary. I was born in Charlotte, but raised in Cabarrus County. I went to the original W.R. Odell Elementary, Northwest Middle, and Northwest High. I attended Meredith College on a Teaching Fellows Scholarship and graduated with a BS in Child Development with a K-6 license and a French minor. I taught 4th and 2nd grade in Raleigh before deciding to go back to school to become a School Library Media Coordinator. I got my Masters Degree in Library and Information Studies with a concentration in school library at UNC-Greensboro. I taught in Stanly County for 7 years working at Oakboro Elementary and Aquadale Elementary. This is my 9th year as a School Librarian. I love languages, so I'm thrilled to be here at Furr Elementary for the 2022-2023 school year!
