What is staggered entry? 

On the week of August 29th your student will attend only two days that week. ALL students will attend school on Friday, September 2nd. Your child will only attend one of the previous days (Monday - Thursday). For example, “Sally” will attend school on Tuesday the 30th and then again on Friday the 2nd. The reason why we stagger the first week is to help the Kindergarten students feel more comfortable with the school. Staggered entry allows the students to find a buddy or two along with getting to know their teacher better. Only 4 - 5 students attend school on their assigned day. We do a scavenger hunt around the school to allow for students to become familiar with the campus and the personal. We also complete an entry evaluation during these days.

What are the school hours?

Drop off begins at 7:45 and ends by 8:15. Dismissal begins at 2:50 and is usually over by 3:20/3:30. If your child is brought to campus after 8:15, you will need to sign them in at the office as they would be considered tardy. 

Can I pack my child’s lunch?

Absolutely you may pack your child’s lunch! If your student wishes to buy lunch on any particular day they are free to do so. School menus are available online and a paper copy can be sent home if you request one from your child’s teacher.  

When is Open House?

Open house is Thursday, August 25th, from 5pm - 7pm. 

Classroom teachers will be contacting families this week to introduce themselves. 

When you visit campus for open house you are encouraged to visit your student’s classroom to meet his or her teacher, join our PTCO, purchase spirit wear, apply for free/reduced meals, add funds to your student’s lunch account, drop off medication with our school nurse, complete enrollment forms, and take home free school supplies and books! We also suggest dropping off your child’s school supplies that night as well, so that their book bag isn’t too heavy on their first day of school. 

How many Kindergarten teachers are there?

There are four of us! Mrs. Walters, Mrs. Hileman, Mrs. Petersen and Mrs. Boulware.

Are there uniforms?

There are no uniforms but we do have a dress code, which can be found under the links portion of our school website.
