Mr. Ty Johnson

Hello my name is Ty Johnson and I am orginally from Wilkesboro, NC. I attended Warren Wilson College and while there played college basketball. After college I played one season in the Universial Basketball Association and I also toured with the ACC barnstomring tour. I started my career in education at West Brunswick High School as a teacher and the Head Women's Basketball Coach. After one year at West Brunswick, I moved to Caldwell Community College in Hudson, NC as the Head Women's Basketball Coach, while there I was named the 2016-2017 Region X Coach of the Year and also qualified for the NJCAA D1 Region X Tournament.  In 2017, I moved back to West Brunswick to be the Head Boys Basketball Coach and was there for two seasons. In July of 2019, I  began my tenure, here at Cox Mill where I teach Health and PE, and also the Head Boys Basketball Coach and Assistant AD. I am married to my wife, Kassidi (7 Years) and have a 3 year old son named Micah and 4 month old McKinley.
