5th Grade Performance Videos

5th grade students,

These videos are links to our graduation songs.  The recorder song "Ode To Joy" is for anyone (regardless of the level of belt earned in music class) that knows the notes.  The "I Will DARE" song is a different video that I have found that is clearer to sing with. Enjoy!  "High Hopes" by Panic @ The Disco has been chosen as our anthem song.  The closed video link has expired, but I have looked up a kareoke version on YouTube to easily see the lyrics.  We will be changing one line: "Shooting for the stars when I couldn't make a killing" is changed to "Shooting for the stars when you knew that I was willing."  We will also add a STOMP STOMP CLAP (we will rock you pattern!) on the final chorus...  Finally, "Ready To Go" is an ABA song where clapping is added when the A section returns.  The clapping is a little tricky because it is on the off beat.  So start clapping on the word "lookin.."  Good luck and have fun! Update March 30th- Ok..so things are changing week to week.  We are out of school until @ least the end of April... so, enjoy these songs and feel free to continue learning them on your own, realizing that they "may or may not" happen for us in an actual big performance.  Be safe and have fun- these are great songs and will make you better musicians regardless of what the end of this school year is like.   Mr. Rowe
