Mr. Erik Szymanski

Welcome! 

I am the only Social Studies teacher at the Performance Learning Center and I am responisble for teaching World History, American History, Civic Literacy, and Economics and Personal Finance. It has been my pleasure to assist our students with their graduation goals for the past five years. Teaching at the PLC has been one of the most rewarding teaching postions that I have had throughout my 20 years in education.  

Our priority at the PLC is building student relationships and encouraging students to achieve their present and post-educational goals. Also, we employ a blended learning approach at the PLC to facilitate learning for our students. Students will typically receive some direct instruction and complete online instruction through Edgenuity. In addition, students will complete online assignments within the Edgenuity course and teacher created assignments, projects and essays.      

Students at the PLC enjoy a unique environment in which to learn. Success is not guaranteed and students are encouraged to work hard and be self-motivated. I look forward to helping your student achieve their goals!
