Welcome Video

This is my fifth year teaching at CCS, though it will be the ninth year teaching Chinese.  I first learned Chinese in 2004 when I lived in Hong Kong for 2 years. After that, I returned to the states and got my BA in Chinese. I have taught in a few different schools before I found CCS. I really love the students, teachers, and culture here. I can tell I have found where i want to spend my career.

As far as my personal life, I am married and have a six-year-old and two newborn twin sons. I do a lot of woodworking and cooking/baking. Sometimes I like to share those hobbies with my students.

  • We are now using Canvas for all online learning. Though most assignments will be completed in class, materials and notes can be found on Canvas.  

    If you are absent, please email me at darren.campbell@cabarrus.k12.nc.us for missed assignments. They won't be posted on canvas.
