Hi, Parent(s)/Guardian(s) and Students!

 

Welcome to our class website!

 

My name is Kasey (Flesch) Hertzler and I have taught fifth grade (I started in Kannapolis City Schools and now in Cabarrus County) since graduating from UNC Charlotte in 2011 - Go 49ers!! 

 

My husband and I have one son, Samuel Klay (he goes by SK or Klay).  He is so fun, talks ALL of the time, loves mornings and being outside or going swimming/to the park. We also have a fur-son, Kopper. He's a German Shorthaired Pointer, full of energy and the biggest cuddle bug ever!

 

I love to team-teach together! My teaching partner is Ms. Williams! I will teach two classes of English-Language Arts/Social Studies and Ms. Williams will teach two classes of Math and Science.  We start and end the day in homeroom.  Each student will see each teacher daily unless our daily schedule has a field trip or event.

 

In the classroom, I really enjoy teaching mini-lessons while making connections to real life and having fun while learning!
