Shauna Aldridge

Hello!!!  My name is Shauna Aldridge, and this is my fourth-year teaching in Cabarrus County Schools and my seventeenth-year teaching.  I previously taught in Burke and Stanly County Schools. I graduated from Appalachian State University with a Bachelor of Science in History and a Minor in Political Science. Also, I am certified to teach International Baccalaureate: History of the Americas and Advanced Placement courses in Human Geography and Government. My time growing up on a family farm gave me a love and appreciation for the outdoors along with my mountain adventures.  Some of my favorite hiking spots include the Brown Mountain Gorge and Morrow Mountain State Park.  If you have never been, you are missing out! My favorite activities are spending time with my family, hiking, training my Labradors, camping, gardening, crocheting, research, reading, crafts, and any adventures that include the mountains. It’s my favorite place for relaxation and reflection!  I am ecstatic about being part of the CHSI family and look forward to having each of you in my class.
