• Online Enrollment Process for New Enrollments

    • Cabarrus County Schools uses an on-line enrollment system (Scribbles) for new students in grades K-12. This enrollment platform allows parents to complete the process from their laptop, cell phone or desktop computer. There is no need to come to any of our buildings to complete the bulk of their student's enrollment.

     

      • Parents will be required to set up an account in Scribbles (see Scribbles Account Setup "how to" video on this page). 
      • Parents will be required to provide two approved sources of address verification information (along with other records/documents).
      • Information about the required documents are listed at the bottom of this webpage.

    ENROLLING FROM ANOTHER CCS LOCATION

    This information is for a student currently attending a CCS school but who has moved and needs to change schools. 

      1. Click on this following link to access the applications site: https://ccsprogramchoice.scriborder.com/
      2. If you do not have an account, then you will need to create an enrollment/choice account. (This will become your family dashboard.) If you have already set up an account, then proceed to STEP 5.
      3. Then “Associate” a student. (You are simply creating a profile for your child.  You must do one for each child.)
      4. Click “Save.”
      5. Login to your account.
      6. Click on the green button “Submit Application.” Note: If you have already uploaded documents for proof of domicile then proceed to step 8.
      7. If you have not yet provided proof of domicile, a screen will pop up asking you to attach 2 proofs of domicile (see list below). After you upload your documents click in the small box beside proof 1 and proof 2 and then click “Continue.”
      8. Click on green button “Submit Application.”
        • Two Proofs of Residency (one from each source)
        • Source 1: Deed, lease, closing, settlement statement or property tax statement showing the property is owned or rented by you and is within the school's boundaries.
        • Source 2: Current utility bill (power, gas, water or cable) with your name and correct address.
      9. Click on “Begin Application for child’s name.”
      10. Click on “In-District Re-Enrollment” then click "Select."
      11. Click on school name that appears (this will be the school assigned to the address you have entered when you set up your account) and click "Select."
      12. Click on “Complete In-District Re-Enrollment.”

     

     

    ENROLLING FROM OUTSIDE OF CCS

    This information is for NEW student who is NOT currently enrolled in CCS: Enrollment Application.

    1. Click on the following link https://ccsprogramchoice.scriborder.com/ to access the application site.
    2. Click Start Login
    3. If you do not have an account then you will need to create an enrollment/choice account. (This will become your family dashboard.)
    4. Then “Associate” a student. (You are simply creating a profile for your child. You must do one for each child.)
    5. Click “Save.”
    6. Click on the green button “Submit Application.” (If you have already uploaded documents for proof of domicile then proceed to step 9.)
    7. If you have not yet provided proof of domicile then a screen will pop up asking you to attach 2 proofs of domicile (see list below). After you upload your documents click in the small box beside proof 1 and proof 2 and then click “Continue.”

    10. Click on “New Student Enrollment (Grades 1-12)” then click “Select.”
    11. Click on “New Enrollment, No School Yet Assigned” then click “Select.”
    12. Click on “Complete New Elementary/Middle/or High School Enrollment.”
    13. Click on “No, your child’s name is not currently enrolled.”
    14. Pop-Up window click “Close.”

      • Proof of domicile of your current address is required
      • A copy of your lease/house contract (no contingency clause) and closing statement with signatures included is required.
      • A letter of intent from your contractor or bank which includes the closing date is required.
      • A signed release from the school district in which you currently reside is required.  
    1. Do you currently reside withinCabarrus County Schools' district?
      • Proof of domicile of your current address is required.
      • A copy of the lease/house contract (no contingency clause) and closing statement with signatures included is required.

    1. CHILD'S BIRTH CERTIFICATE
      • May be a copy
      • Must have parents' names on it
    1. PROOF OF LEGAL GUARDIANSHIP
      • Only required if student is residing with someone other than a parent listed on the birth certificate.
      • Guardianship must be established through the courts and signed by a judge (unless the family meets criteria found in G.S. 115C-366).
      • We are not able to accept notarized statements or Power of Attorney documents.
    1. IMMUNIZATION RECORDS
      • Official copy from your physician.
      • We are not able to accept the immunization records found on a transcript or other school record.
    1. SCHOOL RECORDS (Withdrawal Form, Report Card, Official Transcript)
      • Must show promotion to grade level in which you are intending to enroll.  
      • Must show all credits earned at previous schools.
      • Must show 8th Grade Report Card if new rising 9th Grader.
