Ms. Jayla Scott

Welcome! I teach Sophomore and Junior Seminar, Biology, and Earth & Environmental.

I was an IB (International Baccalaureate) student in high school and we were required to take Biology all four years. Which aided my decision to major in Biology in college. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Biology from the illustrious North Carolina Agricultural & Technical State University in Greensboro, NC. I also went to NC A&T SU on a collegiate tennis scholarship. Since then I have worked as a lab technician, substitute, and tennis coach, which has made teaching my passion. I enjoy preparing students for life and teaching them about all that college has to offer. My college life was challenging at times as a student-athlete and I had to learn how to manage my life/time better. My goal is to be able to teach students these life skills so they are prepared. With my passion for Science and education I look forward to making class fun, enlightening, and exciting.
