• Bremerton High School (BHS)


    Bremerton High School is a comprehensive 9th - 12th grade high school serving more than 1,200 students in the Bremerton School District. Bremerton High School is a safe, caring environment where a collaborative staff is committed to the academic achievement and growth of each student. We strive to assist every student in connecting their current plans to their own future goals within a learning environment that engages each student in meaningful learning activities that will prepare that student with the knowledge, skills, and attitude necessary for post-high school success.

    Students who are engaged in school have better attendance, behavior, and academic performance. Great high schools like Bremerton High School have a shared focus for academic achievement and for quality programs. There are no shortcuts when it comes to creating a high performing school and the staff are hardworking and strive to assist all students to achieve at high levels.

    We are committed to creating a highly motivated learning environment that encourages quality work, positive social skills, and the pursuit of excellence from both students and staff; promoting active involvement and communication among students, parents, teachers, administrators, support staff and community; self and mutual respect to create a safe and positive learning environment; make sure all students have a variety of opportunities to demonstrate what they learn and measuring success in how well Bremerton High School meets the instructional needs of all students.

Our School

  • Bremerton High School’s main building opened in 1988. The campus is situated on a fifteen-acre site with a stadium and athletic fields. The school contains 55 regular classrooms and three portables, which are supported by a library media center, four computer labs, gymnasium, band room, choir room, piano lab, graphics and photography lab, television lab, weight room, and modern science labs. Our school also hosts an auto shop that was renovated in 1995 and a state-of-the-art performing arts center which is used by both school and community groups.

  • Each school in Bremerton is allocated funds to support its educational program. These funds are managed by the school and are used for such things as textbooks, instructional materials, basic supplies, printing, equipment, technology, and staff training.  Additional financial information can be obtained from the Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction.
