All ALE programs are required to provide a Statement of Understanding that describes the differences between standard school programs, homeschooling, and alternative learning. Below are links to the SOUs from each of our ALE Programs. (These are also provided during onboarding and enrollment meetings.)
Renaissance
Virtual Learning Academy is a 2-5 alternative learning opportunity for Bremerton School District elementary students. The program consists of both synchronous and asynchronous learning as well as small group instruction throughout the week with a dedicated teacher for each learning cohort.
The Bremerton Home Link program is a no-cost, alternative learning education program that emphasizes student needs and strengths. This parent partnership program is for families who have chosen to educate their child or children in an alternative way at home
We offer a variety of alternative options for secondary students!
Renaissance Alternative HS is a public, no-cost choice high school that provides flexible schedules and an individualized program to match student needs and goals. Students can earn a high school diploma while exploring career options and training opportunities.
