I was born and raised in Biloxi.  I graduated from Biloxi High School. After graduation, I enlisted in the United States Army where I served my country for 10 years. Upon ending my tour of duty, I was given the opportunity to pursue a career in teaching and graduated from Cameron University in Lawton, Oklahoma. 

I am the mother of four children: Brandon(28), Brion(22), Bryan(20), and Britni(9). I married my amazing husband, Michael in April 2018. Along with spending time with my family, I also enjoy cooking, singing, and attending church. 

I taught for 7 years in Oklahoma. In 2014, I moved back to the coast for the wonderful opportunity to teach special education in Gulfport Public Schools for 3 years. I am currently entering my 14th year of teaching. I am honored to begin my fourth year of teaching 1st grade. I am so excited to be able to help students gain a love for learning.
