Kerri Watson joins the ASCTE team with twenty years of teaching experience. She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Secondary Education from Auburn University Montgomery for Biology and History and a Master’s Degree in Secondary Science Education from the University of West Georgia. She’s taught a range of subjects to include Biology, AP Biology, Human Anatomy, Health, Environmental Science, and Physics as well as World History and US History. She has served as a teacher mentor, grade-level lead for curriculum preparation, and Science Department Chair. She has also served as coach and judge for various scientific competitions that promote creativity and design for student-led teams and presentations.
At ASCTE, Mrs. Watson is working to join the subjects of science and history into the History of Engineering and History of Cryptology courses. She is also a member of the Outreach team, helping to coordinate introductions between students and ASCTE's partners in industry, academics, and agencies through field experiences and student observations.
Mrs. Watson and her husband have been married twenty-four years and have a 15-year-old son. Their favorite thing to do as a family is to explore a new travel destination every year. Mrs. Watson also enjoys playing piano, reading multiple genres, and designing jewelry.
