    Dear MACS Families:

All enrolled students at the Mexico Academy and Central School District can receive free meals through the end of the 2020-21 school year.

Thanks to the program that is funded by the United States Department of Agriculture, students who are fully remote or in-person for the hybrid model can receive breakfast and lunch from MACS every school day.

No sign up is required for students who are attending school in the A, B or D cohorts. If a parent or guardian would like to receive meals for their child on their child’s virtual days or their child is in the C cohort a request form must be filled out.

The Food Service Department would like to provide a snack to all pre-K students. Each day your student is in session we will provide a prepackaged item and a juice. If you would like to have a bagged lunch provided for your child to take home at the end of the day, please fill out the order form below. The Food Service staff will pack a lunch and have it sent home on the bus with your child. You only need to fill the attached form out once but if you wish to stop receiving meals please contact me at 315-963-8400 x 5071. Meals will start March 1.

The request form can be found on the MACS webpage under Food Service, under “Quick Links” and named “Mexico Meal Request Form.”

If you have questions concerning the school meal program, please contact

    Brenda Thomas at 315-963-8400 x 5071 or bthomas@mexicocsd.org.

    Thank you-

    Dear MACS Families:

Mexico Schools Food Service will be offering “grab and go” breakfast and lunch to all students in the Mexico District for our extended time off.

For the week of March 16-March 20 we will have three distribution sites: Mexico High School (cafeteria doors), New Haven Elementary (front door) and Palermo Elementary (cafeteria door) will be serving breakfast from 7:30-8:30 and lunch from 10:30-12:30. Beginning on Wednesday, March 18, the following day’s breakfast will be provided with lunch to reduce parent travel. Parents and guardians may visit any of these sites and receive meals for their students.

If you are interested in receiving meals at one of our emergency meal distribution sites, we are requesting that you contact us to ensure we meet the needs of our students. If there are parents or guardians who do not have a way to get to any of these sites, please contact us at 315-963-3351 or 315-963-8400 x 5071 and we will make arrangements.

Please continue to monitor our website for updated information concerning the distribution of meals.

    Thank you,

    Brenda Thomas
