| At Palmer we are exploring Positive Psychology by studying the 24 positive character strengths. These strengths can be found across cultures, physical borders and time. We are purposefully and explicitly teaching these key terms to provide our students with a common language focused on positive character. Please visit the Positivity Project homepage for more information about the organization helping us structure our character education instruction.

| Excellence Team Each week, the classroom teacher nominates a student to be on the Excellence Team. Students are chosen for exemplifying the positive character strength of the week. Students receive a certificate and have their photo displayed on our Excellence Team bulletin board. |
