After a three-year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Greater Capital Region STEAM Exposition is making a triumphant return in 2023! On May 20, the South Colonie Central School District and Raiderfest will host the 5th STEAM Exposition at Colonie Central High School MUG.
This year’s STEAM Expo is an opportunity for NYS Capital Region high school students to showcase their passion for science, technology, engineering, the arts, and mathematics in a creative and artistic way. While the event is similar to a science fair, it is much more interdisciplinary. Student projects must incorporate at least two of the disciplines in STEAM.
The Expo will feature student projects, live animal shows, STEM competitions, and hands-on, interactive displays during the Discovery Fair. Various exhibitors, including local colleges and universities, environmental groups, STEM-based companies, health and wellness organizations, and professional organizations, will provide information on how to pursue a career in STEAM.
We are excited to see how students will present their projects to their family, friends, and the community. The Greater Capital Region STEAM Exposition promises to be an excellent opportunity for students to explore their interests, learn from others, and make valuable connections. Be sure to mark your calendars for May 20, 2023, and don’t miss out on the 5th STEAM Exposition at Colonie Central High School.
