On May 18, South Colonie Central School District voters approved the district’s $108 million spending plan, elected two board of education members, and approved a 57 acre land purchase in the Village of Colonie. The budget proposition passed by 79.5% with 920 yes votes and 238 no votes.
‘We want to thank all those who took the time to vote today,” said Dr. David Perry, superintendent of schools. “The 2021-22 budget will allow the district to continue to meet the needs of our students by preserving educational programming at the current level. Through additional stimulus funding, we will also be able to expand program offerings to support academic achievement and enhance our social-emotional wellness support for our students in the upcoming school year.”
