The South Colonie Board of Education released the district’s “VISION 2025” today, outlining a collaborative strategic plan that continues with the district’s four areas of focus: Academics, Wellness, Character and Community.

“Vision 2025 is a collaborative framework that will bring our district forward,” said Superintendent of Schools Dr. David Perry.  “We began this planning process nearly two years ago in collaboration with New York State School Boards Association NYSSBA and the Capital Area School Development Association (CASDA).”

The development process was led by our Board of Education Strategic Planning committee chaired by vice president of the Board, Stephanie Cogan.

“We worked diligently to gather feedback from our South Colonie stakeholder groups including students, parents/guardians, employees and community members,” said Stephanie Cogan, vice president of the South Colonie board of education. “This dynamic plan will be our guiding force as we navigate the next five years and work toward expanding our educational footprint, improving student achievement, supporting the whole child, building and retaining our workforce, and continuing to instill a sense of community and belonging  in everything that we do.”

The strategic plan will guide the district’s academic programming and priorities through 2027.
