We just had a fun and exciting afternoon with Cathryn Wake the Broadway actor from “The Great Comet” and her latest show “The Other Josh Cohen.” She did a mini workshop with some of Colonie High School’s Line n Cue actors and a few of the backstage techies as well and some musicians, too.
It was a great time for all. They started with professional Broadway warm ups, breathing exercises, then did some very fun and crazy dance moves, some improv work with using three questions.
SCFOTA brought her in for the day but unfortunately we were not able to get to the middle schools this year but we are planning a big Resident Broadway Actor three day workshop next school year. She will be there for lots of exciting Broadway theatre activities. Watch for news from Friends of Theatre Arts for more on next year’s activities.
