Lisha Kill Celebrates Cancer Fundraiser For Their Late Teacher

Lisha Kill Middle School students and staff came together in March to celebrate their very successful fundraising efforts for the Lymphoma Foundation in honor of their late teacher Shana Marra. Lisha Kill raised more than $5,000 in her name. Mrs. Marra died in January after a long illness. She was a teacher in South Colonie for 20 years.

In addition to this fundraising effort and to honor her memory, a Scholarship Fund has been set up via the District Office in memory of Shana Marra.  The scholarship is for a Colonie Central High School senior pursuing a degree in Special Education.  If you would like to donate to the scholarship fund checks should be made payable to:

The Shana (Salecker) Marra Memorial Scholarship Fund. Checks can be sent to the District Office Attn: Anj. Martinez.
