Seventh grade students participating in Mathew Prince’s technology class kicked off their school year with an introduction to STEM through an innovative lesson on rockets.
The students worked with a partner to assemble their rockets — allowing the students to practice communication skills with peers while creating a positive classroom experience.
“After they assembled, they launch and usually enjoy the experience of trying to catch them as they come down,” Prince said. “This is a great introduction lesson for our technology students.”
The students held a launch this week with most of the rockets launching between 100 to 200 feet in the air.
