Student at Forest Park Elementary School participated in the American Heart Association Jump Rope for Heart program in February. This year 182 students participated in the program and raised more than $8,000. Over the last five years, students have raised more than $45,000 in support of the American Heart Association.
Students were recognized by Coach Meacham for their hard work at Morning Program. Classrooms with the highest percentage of participation at each grade level received a prize pack with soccer balls, basketballs, jump ropes and more. Those classrooms were Mrs. Sitterly, Mrs. Reilly, Mrs. Myers, Mrs. Reynolds, and Mrs. Brooks. In addition, top fundraisers were recognized including Anna A., Jordan M., Kenneth M., Teagan D., and Vincent F. Vincent F. who raised between $100-$200. Anthony M. Channing S., Marnay M., Corbin R. and Ava H. raised between $250-$300 each. This year’s Heart Hero is Ryan T. from Mrs. Brooks’ class who raised $655.
