Students in Mr. Rosenberg’s Statistics class visited the College and Career Planning Center to participate in a Google Hangout with Colonie Central High School alum, Erica Harrell, Class of 2015.
Erica is currently a senior in the Gabelli School of Business at Fordham University. As part of this unique learning opportunity, CCHS students were able to learn about opportunities in the School of Business and ask Erica questions about her college experience at Fordham and her chosen field.
During her presentation, Erica spoke of different opportunities to seek out in college such those in business related majors, internships, applied learning, and studying abroad. Erica also stressed the importance of developing a plan for college and beyond.
“We are excited about the opportunities that this technology can lend to our students, ” said Kristin Mesick, CCPC Coordinator. “Erica is just one example of countless CCHS alums who are willing to give back and share their experience with our students.”
The CCPC plans more Google Hangouts for Spring 2019.
