South Colonie to hold Health & Wellness Fair on Thursday, April 27 at CCHS

As an extension of our ongoing work to support South Colonie students and families, the district’s mental health team is coming together to host its first wellness fair. The inaugural event will take place on Thursday, April 27 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the CCHS MUG and will feature health and wellness information, activities for students, and interactive stations for South Colonie families.

We look forward to welcoming families to the high school for this fun and informative event.

School Safety

In light of recent events occurring both locally and nationwide, we continue to prioritize our dedication to enabling staff and students to learn in a safe, stable and engaging environment.

This is just a reminder for our students and families that any actions that disrupt the learning environment or disrupt school safety will be addressed in accordance with the district’s code of conduct

We also believe that all members of our school community have a role in school safety, and knowing how to respond in the event of an emergency is an important aspect of this.

The South Colonie Safe Schools Tip Line has been established so that individuals can report suspicious activity, acts of violence, a student in danger or any other situation that might present a threat to school safety 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year without the fear of retaliation.  Tips can be left by calling 518-869-0291.  Please note, “tips” will be investigated within 24-48 hours by school personnel or the police department.  In the event of an immediate emergency, callers should dial 911.

We look forward to rounding out the year with school events, student celebrations and of course celebrating our Class of 2023.

Continued gratitude to our students, families, staff members and community members who make South Colonie a great district. Now let’s go enjoy the rest of this year!

Dr. David Perry
Superintendent of Schools
