The Southampton Counseling Department’s mission is to promote each student’s academic, social and emotional development, while assisting the student with career development and post-secondary planning.  Our focus is to create a collaborative environment with students, educators and parents by helping students develop the independence and skills necessary to successfully navigate life’s transitions and make healthy decisions.

The philosophy of the Southampton Counseling Department emerges from our belief that every student is valuable and unique.  Our work with each student reflects this philosophy and guides us in our role as student advocates.

The counseling staff provides a number of services for the students and parents of the Southampton community.  These services include: academic, personal, and group counseling, college and career advisement, and parent/student workshops.  The goal is to provide a wealth of resources and guidance to help each student reach their full potential both academically and personally.

This website is constantly being revised.  Please continue to check this website periodically for current postings.  If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact the Counseling Office at (631) 591-4610.
