The Putnam Press: Teacher Spotlight Volume 1
📰Our Putnam County High School Journalism students have been busy working on content. In the coming weeks, they have some teacher spotlights to release. Their first spotlight is Ms. Debbie Mallette, a high school and 8th-grade math teacher at PCR-I.
Here's what they shared:
👩🏫Ms. Mallette is one of the most hard-working teachers at Putnam County without question. She has been here for many years and is fully determined when it comes to educating the young students here. We wanted her special secret on how she manages to work so hard without getting overwhelmed. She says she relaxes through reading a good book in her quiet home, and that our small community compliments the pleasant lifestyle she inhabits.
Ms. Mallette describes her life as simple and faithful, finding joy in her love for God and her natural drive to help the students she teaches. She believes each and every one of her students can accomplish something great and be their own unique person, no matter what background they come from. She left a small bit of the best advice she was ever given that resonates with her. She said that Mrs. Schmidli once told her “less is more”. A suitable phrase for someone living such a wonderfully peaceful life. She truly is an admirable woman and Putnam County is massively lucky to have her.
Thank you, PCHS Journalism students, for celebrating one of our own. Keep up the good work.
