Congratulations and Welcome to Middle School Counseling, Mrs. Samantha Hendershott!

🥳Help us congratulate our very own Mrs. Samantha Hendershott on her transition from Kindergarten to Middle School Counselor!

Mrs. Hendershott tells us:
👩‍🎓"I was born and raised in Putnam County, attended Pre-K through 12th grade at PC and graduated from PCR-I in 2013.

Fun Fact: I even share my favorite preschool teacher with many students today. We all love our Ms. Stephanie!! After high school, I attended the University of Missouri in Columbia, Missouri where I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education.

👩‍🏫Following graduation, I started my first teaching job at Hallsville Primary School teaching first grade. After graduating with my Master's degree in Educational Leadership in May of 2020, I moved closer to home to teach second grade in Princeton, Missouri. With the desire to return “home” and be closer to my family, I was given the opportunity to teach at Putnam County in 2021. During my time at PC, I have adored every minute with my Kinders and enjoyed learning and making memories with my Junior High Softball girls.

💙Building relationships with students has always been my favorite luxury of teaching and coaching. While doing this, I have become more and more aware of the increasing societal need for mental and emotional health. With the continuous demand for social and emotional learning within our school and my desire to continue my own personal and professional growth, I cannot wait to take on this new role as Middle School Counselor. I hope that along with my colleagues, each student feels safe, cared for, and valued within our walls. I am so excited to start this new opportunity and am eager for new relationships to be built upon as I serve our Middle School students!

👰‍♀️🤵‍♂️Last summer, I married my husband Kirk and love every minute with him and his boys Konner and Kellan. We spend many of our days enjoying time with our family, going on outdoor adventures, cheering on the boys in all their activities, and helping my parents at their wedding venue."
