🫶Help us give a warm Putnam County welcome to Miss Kolby Lawson, PCR-I Elementary teacher for 2023-2024!

👋🏻 Miss Lawson says, "Hello Putnam County!!!

🥳My name is Kolby Lawson and I am BEYOND excited to be teaching this upcoming school year! I am hoping in the future to also be a part of the coaching atmosphere as well!

📕I was born and raised in Cincinnati, Iowa where I attended K-3 in Cincinnati and continued my 4-12 education in Centerville. I was very involved through my school district in athletics, student council, and NHS. The last few years while continuing my education I was able to not only work a part-time job but also to be a part of both the AmeriCorps and ReadingCorps programs where I work with elementary-aged children!

👩‍🎓Throughout my college life, I attended Indian Hills Community College where I received my Associate of Arts Degree and I am now finishing my teaching degree through Buena Vista University! Education has always been where I have wanted to be and I am blessed to finally have my dreams come true with Putnam County! 💙🤍

💙In my spare time, you will see me mostly being with my family and Zach. I am a huge family girl and will forever be! I also am very fond of finding different things to do outside, especially planting flowers and playing with my Basset Hounds.

🏡Growing up in a small town where I am surrounded by family and friends seems very similar to Putnam County and I cannot wait for it to be another place that I can call “home” through the school year. Go, Midgets!!"
