Welcome Home to PC: Miss Heather Newman, Elementary Teacher.

💙Help us give a warm "welcome home" to one of our new elementary teachers at PCR-I for next school year, Miss Heather Newman!

👩‍🎓Heather tells us, "I graduated from Putnam in 2016, which was the only school I attended Pre-K through Senior year. I then went on to Northwest Missouri State University in Maryville, MO to further my education. There, I earned my Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education with a minor in Early Childhood Education. I am currently in graduate school at Northwest working on a Master of Science in Curriculum and Instruction. I am excited that I will be graduating in May 2023.

🥰I come from a long line of Putnam County Midgets, which is a major reason why I am making the jump back home. I have the sweetest niece, Kya, and two nephews, Tucker and Tate, that make my world spin around.

⛱When I am not working or doing homework for graduate school, I enjoy spending time with my family, running to Target (which will be something I miss when I come home), and having any excuse to be outside.

👩‍🏫I started my teaching career and spent the last 3 years in Mokane, MO, at South Callaway Elementary School. I have been teaching in 3rd grade all 3 years of my career.

🏡I am so excited to be coming back home! I have greatly missed this community and all the warm smiles that can be found around town. I am so blessed for this opportunity to be back closer to my family and give back to the community that gave so much to me. ”
