Notes From the Nurse: Immunization Clinic Coming Soon!

The Putnam County Health Department is planning an immunization clinic at school on Wednesday, October 21, 2020. Seasonal flu vaccine will be offered to all students. Menactra (meningitis), TDaP (Tetanus, Diptheria, and Pertusis), and Gardasil vaccine will be offered to students 11 years and older. All 7th graders are required to have Menactra and TDaP before beginning their 8th grade year and all 11th graders must have Menactra before beginning their 12th grade year. This is a great opportunity to get those requirements met and out of the way! Consent forms were sent home with students earlier this week and need to be returned by October 6, 2020. Vaccine will not be administered without parental consent. 

We have once again partnered with the Northeast Missouri Health Council to bring their Mobile Dental Unit to school. Their unit is a dentist's office on wheels! They are able to provide dental check-ups, x-rays, and treatments such as fillings, crowns, sealants, and extractions.
