Kindergarten Homework Packets

It is time to begin Kindergarten Homework Packets with the students.  The weekly schedule is as follows:

• Mondays: Your child will practice the color and number words on flashcards.
• Tuesdays:  Your child will read a leveled book to you. 
• Wednesdays:  Your child will practice the letters of the alphabet by telling you the letter names and sounds of letters on flashcards. 
• Thursdays:  Your child will read a leveled book to you.
• Fridays:  Your child will practice high-frequency words/word families on flashcards.

There will be a signature sheet included in the packet for you to sign each evening after the completion of the homework.  Please make sure your child returns the packet to school each day so the work can be traded out.  The only item that does not need to be returned is the photocopied leveled book.  That is for the student to keep at home for extra practice.  Please let me know if you have any questions about our homework schedule.
